• Pay Rate: $45.00 $50.60 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Days, 3x12 (7:00 19:30)

Job Summary

This is a Med/Surg Tele travel nursing assignment on a Medsurg Ortho Floor. Travelers must be experienced in MS/Tele, as they may be floated to MS/Tele floors if there is a need. Weekend coverage is required, and floating is required if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients requiring special procedures, including ENT surgery (trachs, laryngectomy), Plastics (I&D, Wound VACs), General Surgery (bowel obstructions, mastectomy, chole, appe, GSW, overdose, hernia repair), Surgical Oncology (pancreatitis), and Colorectal (colectomy, colostomy)
• Operate and manage special equipment including Wound Vac, PCA, PICC Lines, Drains, and Ostomy
• Provide weekend coverage as required
• Float to other units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns; staff will only float to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg required
• 1 year of Epic experience required
• Proficiency with Omnicell medication system
• Ability to float to MS/Tele floors if needed
• Weekend availability required

Education Requirements

• BLS certification required
• Active RN SC license required

• Floating Policy for Contracted Staff: The facility's goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
• Unit will review 1st time travelers based on experience
• Flu vaccine required no exemptions
