Registered Nurse – MS/Tele Float
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 20 weeks
Contract Option: 13 weeks also accepted
Shift: Rotating Day/Night — 3×12 hours
Day Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float to provide patient care across multiple units within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong recent MS/Tele experience and be comfortable floating between assigned units while caring for the same patient population.
The position requires flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts based on operational needs and provide holiday coverage during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as an MS/Tele Float Pool RN.
- Float to designated units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency department areas, to care for the appropriate patient population.
- Provide patient care and winter coverage throughout the assigned contract period.
- Work at least every other holiday as required.
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition assessment during orientation.
- Complete Safe Medicate assessment during orientation.
- Achieve an acceptable score on required orientation assessments.
- Monitor patients, administer medications, and provide comprehensive nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow applicable clinical and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for; experience at one location is preferred.
- Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience is accepted.
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand.
- AHA or facility-approved BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating day/night shifts based on operational requirements.
- Strong telemetry, assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
