" 3 South is a 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit at LBH Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland
" The unit is a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
" While most patients have a neurologic diagnosis, the unit also serves as a telemetry overflow unit for other patient populations
" Common diagnoses include CVA, ischemic stroke, epilepsy, seizures, radiculopathy, cervical stenosis, rhabdomyolysis, post-laminectomy, post-ACDF, post-craniotomy and ETOH withdrawal
" Continuous bedside EEG monitoring, telemetry and bladder scanning are utilized on the unit

" CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery experience are required
" Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury is required
" Feeding-tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care and renal-failure experience are required
