Acute Medical Unit. Medical and Telemetry patients. EKG rhythm identification, non-titrating cardiac drips, Epic charting preferred.
Acutely ill adult and geriatric
general medicine/surgical or infectious disease patients that may require telemetry monitoring for non-acute cardiac conditions.
" Including advanced medication infusion without increase titration. Decrease/weaning is allowed.
Excluding:
" Active and unstable gastrointestinal bleeding
" Uncontrolled ischemic chest pain with unstable vital signs
" Continuous NPPV
" Medications:
o Tenecteplase (TNK)
o Insulin drip
o Neosynephrine
o Nipride
" Telemetry, non-acute cardiac admitting diagnosis
" Care of the acutely ill adult and geriatric patient
" Pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care
" Neurological assessment and care of the acute ischemic stroke (AIS) / transientischemic attack (TIA) patient
