Job Description:

  • Manages accreditation criteria and ensures compliance with MBSAQIP standards.
  • Administrates the MBS Committee and oversees its activities.
  • Develops and maintains patient care pathways and protocols.
  • Provides education to physicians, staff, patients, and the community. Supports the development of protocols and nursing staff education.
  • Monitors outcomes data and provides feedback to surgeons. Identifies and gathers data for quality improvement (QI initiatives.
  • Serves as a liaison between the facility and metabolic, bariatric proceduralists, and general surgeons. Collaborates with in-house departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Prepares for accreditation site visits and ensures readiness. Ensures timely submission of outcomes data to the MBSAQIP Registry.
  • Promotes communication and problem-solving among the Bariatric Medical Director, practice staff, physicians, and other directors. Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years experience as an RN in surgical setting [Required]
  • Experience in care of patients with morbid obesity [Preferred]
  • Experience with program development [Preferred]

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Required]
