Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Utica, NY. This position is ideal for an RN with strong medical-surgical and post-surgical patient care experience. Previous travel nursing experience is required.

Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,500/weekly

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical (MS)
• Patient Population: Adults
• Common Diagnoses: Post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, morbid obesity, and bariatric surgery
• Specialty Equipment: IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Floating: Required as needed

Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• EPIC EMR experience
• Current specialty-specific skills checklist
• License verification for New York and all other active RN licenses
• Current resume documenting relevant Med Surg and travel nursing experience
• RTO must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Valid driver's license with address matching candidate demographics
