Registered Nurse - Medical - Surgical (Pediatrics)

Summary:

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Float to various units including Medical, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Acute Care, Rehab, and NICU as needed.
• Participate in modified self-scheduling through an internal scheduling committee.
• Work 10 weekend shifts per 8-week scheduling block.
• Work holidays as needed for scheduling.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience in a large pediatric facility.
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience.
• Experience with Trach/Vent patients, EVD and lumbar drains, chest tubes, JP drains, central lines, TPN/Lipids, CPM/Ortho/Halo traction, colostomy, ileostomy, cecostomy, nephrostomy care, TBI, neuro assessments, seizure management, solid organ transplant patients (liver/kidney), trauma, and rehabilitation patients.
• Required Certification: BLS

• BSN
• Previous travel experience
