PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Skills: IV insulin protocols, Heparin, Insulin, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Wound Care/Wound Vac, community hospital experience preferred. Skills: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Isolation Precautions/PPE.

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of experience required.
Traveler Experience required: The unit will accept 1st time travelers.

JOB DETAILS:
Target Ratios: 1:5; 1-6
Shift: NIGHTS 3x12s, 18:45-07:15
36 hours can be offered.
Will accept 13 week contracts.
RTO: Unit will review all time off requests and determine if they can accommodate.
Call Requirement: On call required if there is a low census day, meaning if the traveler is scheduled to work and are not needed/sent home they would be put on call. This rarely occurs.
Float Requirement: Will float as needed.
Weekend Requirement: Every third (8 shifts for 13 week contracts)

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: COPD, CHF, Diabetes, Infectious diseases, rehab, typical med/surg, telemetry
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Avg Daily Census 8, Beds 12
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Manual Dispense Carts, Paper, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Self
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24-36 hours
Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.

SCRUBS: navy blue
