What You’ll Do

• Provide direct patient care to diverse adult populations, including transplant, med-surg, and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including ability to read cardiac strips
• Support patient recovery through IV initiation, wound care, and charting in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including RT, OT, PT, and speech therapists
• Assist in patient assessments, documentation, and care planning
• Floats to other units within scope of practice as needed
• Participate in unit-specific protocols and safety procedures

What You Need Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or applicable state
• 1+ year of recent acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Capable of reading cardiac strips and managing cardiac drips (without titration)

Preferred:

• Experience with transplant or critical care units
• Experience with chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, or wound care
• Strong documentation and communication skills
