    Description

    **Job Summary:**
    We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a drug and alcohol treatment facility. The RN will be responsible for providing patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and delivering nursing care.

    Discovery Institute is a 120-bed inpatient substance abuse treatment facility providing exceptional services for individuals with substance use disorders. We provide medical care to 38 detox patients. Individuals applying have a passion for helping those heal from addictive disorders, and find it rewarding in knowing clients, families, and communities benefit from the treatment we provide.


    **Qualifications:**
    - Valid RN license
    - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant field
    - Proven experience as an RN, preferably in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment facility
    - Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
    - Good communication and interpersonal skills
    - Compassionate and able to work in a fast-paced environment

    **Responsibilities:**
    - Monitor patient health and record signs
    - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with treatment plans
    - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and adjust patient care strategies
    - Educate patients and their families on substance abuse treatment and recovery
    - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
    - Follow facility policies and procedures related to patient care and confidentiality
    - Ensure the safety and comfort of patients

    **Additional Skills:**
    - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in crisis situations
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing support to others
    - Strong attention to detail, especially when administering medications and documenting patient care
    - Time management skills to prioritize tasks
    - Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner, supporting patients in their recovery journey
