Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Acute Care

Location: Joplin, MO 64804
Schedule: 3 × 12-Hour Shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shifts: Day & Night Shifts Available

Pay: $1,700–$1,900 Weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) for an opportunity in Joplin, Missouri. The RN will provide quality nursing care to medically complex and long-term acute care patients while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medically complex and long-term acute care patients.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' overall clinical condition.
• Identify changes in patient status and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Care for patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, feeding tubes, and other specialized medical equipment as applicable.
• Perform wound care and assist with infection prevention and patient-safety initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Provide compassionate patient-centered care and support patients and their families as appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Previous experience in LTAC, ICU, Step-Down, Medical-Surgical, or Critical Care nursing is preferred.
• Ability to care for medically complex patients and manage multiple clinical priorities.
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.

Education & Licensure

• High School Diploma or higher education required.
• Valid Missouri nursing license appropriate for the position.
• AHA BLS certification required.
