Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution

Certifications Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN License for Wisconsin
• Optional: CNOR or specialty certifications in neuro or ENT fields

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an operating room setting
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Experience with neuro/ENT surgeries is highly desirable

Other Requirements:

• Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to float between specialties and assist in other OR areas as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for Neuro/ENT surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, patient responses, and inventory.
• Execute preoperative and postoperative patient assessments, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of surgical equipment and navigation systems.
