What Youll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to antepartum and laboring patients, including triage and postpartum care
- Administer magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Cytotec, and balloon or Jada device inductions
- Support patients undergoing C-sections and monitor essential postpartum procedures like blood administration
- Collaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress accurately using EMR systems (Meditech Expanse, GE Centricity Perinatal)
- Maintain safety and infection control standards, including PPE and adherence to protocols
- Support the team during complex cases in a family-like, supportive environment
What You Need
Required:- Valid Louisiana RN License
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, FHM certifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery or NICU settings
- Strong skills in triage, magnesium therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, and couplet care
Preferred:- Experience with EMR systems such as Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
