• Pay Rate: $95.00 $100.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), 6:45 PM 7:15 AM; every other weekend and holiday; 36 hours per week

Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Registered Nurse position specializing in Labor and Delivery at a major medical center in Worcester, MA. The nurse will be assigned to a maternity float pool and will be required to work both L&D (Labor and Delivery) and PP (Postpartum). Pending MA license candidates are acceptable travelers may be submitted without a temporary or permanent license, but upon being offered the position, the traveler must apply for the MA conditional (temporary) license within 48 hours of signing.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a maternity float pool, rotating between Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP) assignments
• Perform clinical nursing duties consistent with Labor and Delivery and Postpartum specialties
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including orientation pass/fail exam standards

Required Skills

• Intermediate level AWHONN certification and above required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as part of standard scheduling

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with travel experience considered at that level; 3 years strongly preferred

Education Requirements

• MA RN License required (pending MA license is acceptable at time of submission; traveler must apply for the MA conditional/temporary license within 48 hours of receiving an offer)
• AWHONN certification Intermediate level and above required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift position: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Float pool assignment between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: not required

Important Notes

• Pending MA license is acceptable at time of submission. Upon being offered the position, the traveler must apply for the MA conditional (temporary) license within 48 hours of signing.
• Candidates must be submitted with confirmation that the traveler is aware of 2 pass/fail exams at orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam. Both exams allow only 1 attempt. Failure of either exam results in immediate contract cancellation. Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and FDIs.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
