Registered Nurse/Labor and Delivery

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Obstetric ED - must have the ability to complete vaginal exams autonomously; Circulate and Triage experience required; Only 3 call outs are allowed in a 13 week period. CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.

Minimum Experience: 3 years; 1st Timers are accepted as long as they have a minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience not in a teaching facility.

Patient Population: Neonates to Adults

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate & NRP REQUIRED

Ratio / Census: 1:3; 6 Rooms with average daily census of 15

Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub Color: Provided by the facility

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

Floating: Yes within service line to L&D, APU, OR

Call Requirements: One 12 hour shift per schedule

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
