    What We Offer:

    Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Center is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Infusion Oncology RN to join our team. In this critical role, you will be on the front lines of cancer care, administering life-saving treatments and providing essential support to patients and their families. This position is for an individual who is not only clinically excellent but also deeply empathetic and dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of those battling cancer. 

     

    Location: 2131 S 17th St, Wilmington, NC 28401

    Work Schedule: Rotating 8 or 10 hour shifts with start times between 7-8am

    Status: Full Time - 40 hours/week

     

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
    • Experience: One year critical care experience, required.
    • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS, required.
    • Additional Skills (required): Ability to manage ventilators, titratable BP support medication and knowledge of EKG rhythms.
    • Additional Skills (preferred): Previous applicable progressive/telemetry and/or critical care/neuro clinical experience.
    What You'll Do:

    As an Infusion Oncology RN, your impact goes far beyond just administering treatments. You are a beacon of support and comfort during one of the most challenging times in a person's life. 

    • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments. 
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with oncologists and other healthcare professionals. 
    • Provide comprehensive patient education on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care management. 
    • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage symptoms effectively. 
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
