LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: BLS/CPR. Completion of the oncology-specific CEUs required each accreditation cycle to support the Cancer Center s CoC and NAPBC accreditations. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required within (6) months of hire.
Preferred: Oncology Nurse Society certifed (OCN).
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One (1) year of clinical experience in intravenous nursing or equivalent background in an oncology, medical-surgical, critical care, or home infusion setting. Must be profiecient in the care, maintenance, and accessing of central lines.
Preferred: Two (2) years of oncology focused intravenous nursing including the administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood products.
