It is the region s only Level I Trauma Center (Adult & Pediatrics), Magnet-designated for nursing excellence, and affiliated with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The hospital features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children s hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.

Position: RN- ICU/PCU Float (MUST be comfortable working ALL ICU and PCU units)

" Shift Details: 3x12s, 645p-715a
4X12 AVAILABLE BY REQUEST

" Charting: EPIC experience required

" Floating: Staffing needs are Re-evaluated every 4 hours, so traveler could float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours)

" Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

" Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

" Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

" Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria

" Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license

" RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission

" Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

" ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
" IV therapy: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, IV initiation & maintenance

" Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management, ventilated patient care

" Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency meds, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips

" Wound care: surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs

" Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation & management

" Endocrine/metabolic: IV insulin protocol adherence

" ICU Experience

" Experience at a Large Level 1/2 Facility required.

" Prefer Candidates with 2+ years experience
