Registered Nurses Job Details: 

Location: Houston, TX 

Available Shifts: 12 hour shifts

6:00am - 6:00pm

6:00pm - 6:00am

Starting Pay Rate: $50.00/ hour + (Based on experience) 

Temporary to hire 

Registered Nurses Responsibilities:  

• Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients. 
• Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, treatments to inmate patients. Assist physicians with medical treatments. 
• Administers prescribed medication. 
• Applies surgical dressings & bandages. 
• Checks & records vital signs. 
• Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing. 
• Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition. 
• Provides inmate patient education and/or discharge planning. 

Education Requirements: 

• Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred. 
• Current Texas RN license required. 
• ACLS or BLS required. 
• SAMA training

Job Requirements: 

• Valid Texas Driver License
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a RN (required) 
• Med Surg, ER, IMU/ICU Experience
• Triage Experience 
• Previous prior correctional facility experience. (preferred)
