Job Description:
The Hospitalist Coordinator RN plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care for hospitalized patients at St. Mary's Regional Hospital. Serving as a key partner to physicians, care managers, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members, this position helps coordinate daily patient care activities, facilitate communication, optimize patient flow, and support seamless transitions throughout the hospitalization and discharge process.Hospitalist Coordinator RN

Minimum Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
Two years of clinical hospital experience.
Basic computer proficiency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
RNs hired or promoted into this role must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years of hire or promotion if not already completed.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in hospital-based care coordination, case management, utilization review, or hospital medicine.
Knowledge of patient throughput, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
Experience with quality improvement, process improvement, or clinical operations initiatives.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare information systems.
