Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ASC team. The RN will provide pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative nursing care to patients undergoing GI endoscopic procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients in Pre‑Op, PACU, and Procedure Room settings.
  • Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, sedation monitoring, and clinical interventions as needed.
  • Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, review medications, and identify care considerations.
  • Administer medications safely and monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and ASC regulatory standards (CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission).
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, discharge instructions, and post‑procedure care.
  • Document accurately and timely in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team to maintain workflow efficiency and exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
  • BLS andACLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, PACU, OR, or another ambulatory surgical setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong IV skills and comfort with moderate sedation practices.
  • Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
