    We are excited to be opening a new unit!

    Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7AM to 7PM with rotating weekends. Type: In Person.

    Sheppard Pratt's inpatient unitsare nationally recognized programs for the treatment of individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. The new General Adult Unit provides specialized inpatient treatment for adults 18 and older. The program utilizes an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process-oriented, experiential, and psycho-educational group therapies.

    As a Registered Nurse/RN you will:

    • Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
    • Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
    • Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
    • Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
    • Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

    Requirements:

    • Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
    • Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
    • All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. 

    What we need from you.

    • Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment.
      • Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
    • Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting is preferred, but not necessary.

    The pay range for this position is $37.08 minimum to $56.83 maximum.  Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
