    Base salary starting at: $33.53 / hr 

     

    E S S E N T I A L  F U N C T I O N S

    • Provides forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings.
    • Ability to triage patients and determine if a medical exam is needed prior to a forensic exam.
    • Coordinate care of all agencies involved in assisting the victim.
    • Perform and document medical/forensic exam accurately, including: Head-to-toe assessments for trauma, detailed ano-genital examination, forensic specimen collection and documentation, and photography.
    • Assesses for mandatory reporting status and reports when appropriate.
    • Maintains chain of custody for each sexual assault exam and adheres to evidence collection protocols.
    • Administer appropriate prophylactic medications per protocols.
    • Provide testimony as fact witness to any/all cases performed while the forensic/SANE program and coordinate with attorneys during the judicial process.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    E D U C A T I O N 

    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.

     

    E X P E R I E N C E 

    • One (1) year of experience in acute care required.

     

    C R E D E N T I A L S 

    • Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
    • Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH.
    • Must obtain TNCC certification or equivalent advanced training within 6 months of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with the SANE Program.
    • Additional certifications and training provided by Ivinson may be required on individual units as indicated in the CBO.

    • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.

    • Ability to learn new computer software programs.
