Description

A nonprofit services organization in California is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide residential care services in Sylmar and Northridge. This floating role provides nursing support across two IDD residential homes, delivering clinical oversight, care coordination, and direct support to adults with complex medical and developmental needs.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm
  • Setting: In-person, residential care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing coverage and clinical oversight across two residential homes
  • Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and coordinate ongoing medical care
  • Develop, implement, and update nursing and healthcare plans
  • Supervise LVNs and provide guidance to direct support staff as needed
  • Coordinate with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation, medication records, and compliant medical files

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Nursing experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience working with adults with mental and/or physical disabilities
  • Experience with G-tube care

Desired Skills:

  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in developmental disability or residential care settings
  • Familiarity with medication administration records, physician order implementation, and nursing documentation
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex medical and behavioral health needs
