• Pay Rate: $51.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 12-Hour Nights, 18:45 7:15 (3x12)

Job Summary

This is a travel nursing opportunity in the Emergency Room (ER) at a regional referral and tertiary care center serving all patient populations. The facility operates at 101 beds with approximately 250 visits per day and accepts first-time travelers as well as local candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts, triage, and telemetry monitoring as core unit functions
• Float between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health, depending on where the greatest need is
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 5
• Participate in daily shift huddles and SBAR communication practices
• Meet weekend requirements of a minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, up to every other weekend
• Complete 24-hour unit orientation prior to independent practice on the unit
• Adhere to all unit systems including Pyxis and EPIC

Education Requirements

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• BCLS (Basic Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required
• MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) required
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift schedule: 12-hour nights, 18:45 7:15 (3x12)
• Float requirement: Floating is required between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health, depending on where the greatest need is
• Weekend requirement: minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track; could be as much as every other weekend
• Unit patient population: Regional referral and tertiary care center serving all populations
• Unit ratios: 1:3 5; approximately 250 visits per day; 101 beds
• Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, daily shift huddles
• Scrubs: Navy/White
• Unit orientation: 24 hours

Important Notes

• RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
• Flu vaccination is required; medical/religious exemptions only.
