What You’ll Do:

• Provide high-quality emergency care to diverse patient populations, including neonatal to geriatric patients
• Manage a patient load with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced environment
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and rapid assessment of patient severity
• Support admit management and collaborate with hospitalist teams for patient care
• Document all care accurately in the Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Maintain compliance with all certifications and competency requirements, including EKG interpretation
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training to ensure quality patient outcomes

What You Need:

• Valid nursing license (RN) in Louisiana or able to obtain
• 2+ years of recent ER/ED experience in an acute care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI or MOAB certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong multitasking, clinical judgment, and patient monitoring skills
• Comfortable with patient holding, IV placement, and managing multiple systems simultaneously
