Required Skills:
Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, CPI or MOAB certifications
Proficiency in IV starts, NGT tube insertion, chest tube management, defibrillation, splinting, and ICU GTT management
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to placement
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and holidays
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with stroke/NIHSS assessment and management
Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system
Prior exposure to pediatric and geriatric care in emergency settings
Additional certifications such as TNCC are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience in an acute care setting
First-time travelers must have at least 2 years of permanent RN experience in acute care and be separated for at least one year if previously employed as a permanent staff member
Other Requirements:
Successful completion of hospital orientation and on-unit training
Willingness to work every other weekend, holiday shifts, and rotating night shifts
Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed
Willingness to work at neighboring facilities occasionally, with minimal unit floating
Proper scrub attire (pewter scrubs; gray, white, or black T-shirts with WK monogram; gray or black jackets) and badge placement required

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $46.90, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time, and reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and other eligible expenses.
