What Youll Do- Provide advanced nursing care to diverse patient populations in the ER
- Manage ventilators, critical care drips, and cardiac rhythms with accuracy
- Assist with complex procedures such as TPA administration, conscious sedation, and splinting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac strips and manage hemodynamic lines (e.g., Art lines, CVP)
- Participate in patient assessments, including suicide risk and trauma stabilization
- Support the charge nurse and collaborate with hospitalist and ED physicians
- Document all care accurately using EMR systems like Meditech Expanse
What You Need- Valid RN license in Louisiana or Compact state
- Minimum 2 years ED critical care experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB
- Strong skills in ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and trauma care
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
