Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ambulatory Nurse to join our healthcare team in La Plata, United States. As an Ambulatory Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in an outpatient setting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Assess patients health conditions and provide appropriate nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist with outpatient procedures and treatments as needed. Triage patients and prioritize care based on medical needs. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory care nursing Strong clinical skills and knowledge of outpatient procedures and treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required Knowledge of ambulatory care practices, procedures, and healthcare regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in ambulatory nursing
