Registered Nurse- EMS Vitalink

What We Offer: The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. Current VitaLink Critical Care Paramedics may be permitted to complete the department approved Paramedic to RN Bridge Process with the approval of the Chief Transport Nurse and Medical Director.

The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  Licensure / Certifications:
  Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina.
  BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
  Critical care credentialing (CCRN, CFRN, CTRN, CEN) preferred, required prior to assuming flight nurse responsibilities.
  An advanced trauma certification (TPATC, ATLS, ANTC, TNCC with advanced skills) and NRP required within 6 months of hire.
  State of North Carolina or National Registry EMT encouraged to obtain and maintain within 2 years of hire.
  Current and valid driver's license. Must meet general hospital driving requirements. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations.
  Experience: Minimum of 3 years critical care/emergency nursing experience, or successful completion of the VitaLink RN Internship program. Current VitaLink Critical Care Paramedics may be permitted to complete the department approved Paramedic to RN Bridge Process with the approval of the Chief Transport Nurse and Medical Director.
