Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for triage incoming patients bases on severity of injury or illness.
Planning, evaluating, problem solving, creating and implementing plan of care directed by Emergency department provider.
Administration of prescribed medications in accordance with policies and procedures of Community Memorial Hospital.
Demonstrates accurate assessment skills and proper documentation in electronic medical record.
Demonstrate the use of effective oral, written and nonverbal communications skills to ensure proper care is provided.
To provide appropriate education to patients and families.
To serve as patient/family advocate.
To cooperate and collaborate with all members of the health care team.
Provide professional and knowledge of role, as well as rules and regulations that govern nursing practice.
To apply ethical principles in caring for the patient and serving the family.
To carry out duties and responsibilities per legal requirement under their Scope of Practice.
Actively lead a culture of safe care per the Vision and Values of Community Memorial Hospital

Job Requirements:
Associate degree, bachelor's degrees from an approved NYS accredited nursing program
