    Job Description

    The Emergency Department at Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an RN in our Emergency Department, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that demands critical thinking and skilled care delivery. You will collaborate with a wide range of healthcare professionals to treat complex, acute cases that require timely and coordinated responses.

    Shift Details: Full Time Nights (7p-7a)

    SLS Emergency Department is a 12-bed unit caring for people with sudden illnesses, injuries, and severe, life-threatening medical needs. In the ED, you will experience a continuum of medical issues that will test your skills and abilities to rapidly recognize, prioritize, and initiate care to stabilize crisis conditions. We manage cardiac arrests, respiratory emergencies, STEMIs, strokes, sepsis, overdoses, chest tubes, diabetic events, seizures, GI bleeds, orthopedic injuries, OB emergencies, and deliveries. We have great teamwork, a positive culture, and great working relationships with our providers that drives our success and satisfaction.

    In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
