    Description

    A 198-bed Level III trauma center in Farmington is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team on mid shift. Serving the Four Corners region, this facility includes a 48-bed Emergency Department with flex capacity designed to support a broad spectrum of trauma and acute care cases.

    The Emergency Department operates using a team-based pod model, supported by a unit educator and dedicated social worker to help guide patient care and staff development. Nurses provide care for a complex and diverse patient population, including individuals with conditions such as ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and behavioral health needs.

    This role requires strong clinical capability in high-acuity emergency situations, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation. Patient assignments typically follow a 4:1 ratio in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. The unit is equipped with advanced tools and technology such as Zoll defibrillators, Level One blood transfusers, QinFlow blood warmers, Hospira Plum360 infusion pumps, Freestyle and iSTAT point-of-care testing devices, ultrasound-guided IV access, and electronic documentation through Cerner.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

    • Minimum of 2 years of acute care Emergency Department experience required

    • Demonstrated experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of submission

    • Additional certifications may be obtained post-hire per facility requirements

    • Active RN license required prior to start (New Mexico or Compact license eligible; candidates may obtain prior to employment)

    Schedule:

    • Full-time

    • Mid shift

    • 12-hour shifts (rotating between 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.)
