Your future role at a glance:

Location: Waco, TX

Facility: Ascension Providence

Specialty: ICU

Schedule: Days | Full-time | Expectation to be available to staff across all shifts

Eligible for an annual bonus incentive

How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Drive improvements in employee engagement and patient experience.
  • Manage operations for 4 units and Respiratory Therapy Services encompassing a total of 120 beds and a head-count of 220.
  • Provide direct supervision and development for a leadership team consisting of 5 managers and 1 assistant manager.
  • Drive measurable improvements in key departmental metrics, specifically focusing on turnover rates, quality outcomes, and financial performance.
  • Partner effectively with key internal stakeholders.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to  hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Possession of or nearing the completion of an MSN, MHA, or MBA degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in Critical Care, specifically within an ICU setting
  • Proven history of progressive leadership over at least 3 years in a Manager or Director capacity
