    As a PRN Dialysis RN, you'll provide specialized renal replacement therapies for patients with complex medical needs throughout the hospital. This role offers the opportunity to practice independently, apply advanced clinical judgment, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes across multiple inpatient settings.

    Schedule: PRN (As Needed)

    Shift: Night Shift

    Department: Hemodialysis

    Location: Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education:
      • High School Diploma or GED, required. 
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required.
      • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
        •  If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course, preferred. 
    • Experience:
      • One year of RN Experience, required.
      • One year relevant experience, preferred. 
    • Licensure/Certification:
      • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. 
      • ACLS and CHN Certifications are appreciated.
    What You'll Do:

    • Provide safe, high‑quality hemodialysis treatments in the dialysis unit and at the bedside, including care for critically ill patients requiring 1:1 support

    • Perform cycler and CAPD therapies while applying strong critical‑thinking skills and timely clinical interventions

    • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care and effective communication across units

    • Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and control practices in all dialysis environments, including ICU, PCU, ED, and Neuroscience areas

    • Adapt to fluctuating patient volumes and locations, demonstrating flexibility, sound judgment, and consistent communication to support unit needs
