What Youll Do
- Provide inpatient hemodialysis care using Braun dialysis machines.
- Care for patients receiving hemodialysis; peritoneal dialysis experience is not required.
- Access fistulas, grafts, and dialysis catheters safely and effectively.
- Apply critical thinking while working independently and autonomously.
- Complete required patient documentation using the Meditech Expanse EMR.
- Travel between facilities as assigned, with advance notification of the reporting location.
- Participate in scheduled call shifts and meet assignment scheduling requirements.
What You Need
Required- Active Registered Nurse license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- At least 1 year of inpatient dialysis experience.
- Experience accessing fistulas and dialysis catheters.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate critical thinking, and travel between facilities.
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam before arrival.
- Auto insurance.
Preferred- CDN or CNN certification.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Acute-care experience for first-time travelers; first-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care.
About the Assignment
You will support inpatient dialysis services across a leading facility network in Shreveport, Louisiana, with the primary assignment location and additional nearby facilities within approximately 1530 minutes of one another. The care environment includes inpatient dialysis pods and unit-based treatment, with a collaborative team and flexible unit culture. Call coverage, weekend rotation, and facility travel are part of the assignment.
