    Position Summary

    Wayne Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric care team. The RN will provide direct patient care, support physicians and nurse practitioners, educate families, and help ensure a comforting, safe, and efficient experience for every young patient.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, growth measurements, and developmental screenings
    • Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments per physician orders and pediatric protocols
    • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures
    • Educate parents and caregivers on child health, immunizations, medication administration, and home care
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
    • Triage patient phone calls and messages, providing guidance within scope of practice
    • Coordinate referrals, lab work, and follow-up care with families and specialists
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly clinical environment
    • Respond calmly and effectively to pediatric emergencies
    • Collaborate with the care team to support quality improvement initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
    • Current BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
    • Prior pediatric, family practice, or outpatient clinic experience preferred
    • Strong communication skills with both children and caregivers
    • Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
