Oversight: Clinical oversight provided by VA Nurse Manager or designated nursing leadership.
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses (ICU RNs) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ICU consists of three units with 36 beds, dedicated to surgical, medical, and cardiac patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients, including those requiring isolation or COVID-19 treatment.
- Perform advanced critical care procedures, including:
- Arterial line, hemodynamic, and central line monitoring.
- Mechanical ventilation management and ECG interpretation.
- Administration of vasoactive medications and thrombolytic therapy.
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intra-Atrial Balloon Pump (IABP), and post-anesthesia recovery care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
- Administer medications, including IV and blood products
- Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, ventilator care, and suctioning
- Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical oversight to support staff
- Ensure compliance with PPE, hand hygiene, and BCMA protocols

Requirements
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA certified.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA certified.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, proficient in critical care procedures.

Schedule:
40-hour work week with flexible 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
