Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a corrections travel opportunity in Nashville with a competitive package and a firm start date? Cell Staff is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Corrections to place two Travel RNs at a correctional health center in Nashville.

The Opportunity

Join a corrections health center in Nashville serving a patient population with complex medical needs. This role goes beyond standard floor nursing. You will provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, manage scheduling, and contribute to the overall operation of the health center. Position Details

Location: Nashville, TN (on-site)
Setting: Correctional health center
Schedule: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7-day availability required
Contract Length: Approximately 3 months
Start Date: October 21, 2026

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care and administer medications per physician orders and nursing protocol
• Perform BLS, CPR, and emergency response as needed
• Supervise and guide nursing staff in clinical procedures and facility policies
• Prepare work schedules and assign staff based on patient needs and staff availability
• Conduct performance discussions and implement corrective measures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation completeness
• Participate in interviewing and selecting prospective staff members
• Monitor and manage accountable items including medications and instruments

What We're Looking For

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Tennessee license or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Corrections, behavioral health, or high-acuity clinical experience preferred
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• AHA/BLS current
• Ability to pass a 12-panel drug screen and corrections background clearance
• 7-day availability required including weekends
• Able to commit and mobilize by October 21st
