We're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Clinical II) to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while partnering with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes. In this role, you'll coordinate patient care, advocate for patients, and support Valley Presbyterian Hospital's mission of improving the health of our community.

    What You'll Do

    • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process
    • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized care plans based on patient needs
    • Administer medications safely and promptly report and address medication concerns
    • Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care, including discharge planning
    • Communicate effectively with physicians and the healthcare team using SBAR communication
    • Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record
    • Promote patient safety through infection prevention, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to hospital policies
    • Advocate for patients and families while supporting dignity, compassion, and evidence-based practice
    • Support patient throughput by facilitating timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, and patient safety programs
    • Cross-train within assigned clinical areas to support operational and patient care needs

    What You'll Bring

    • Minimum of one (1) year of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in an acute care setting
    • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care
    • Dedication to continuous learning, professional growth, and evidence-based practice

    Requirements

    • Current California RN license
    • ADN required; BSN preferred
    • AHA BLS certification
    • AHA ACLS certification
    • AHA PALS certification
    • CNOR
    • Annual Nursing Care Stroke Education within 30 days of employment
    • Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment
