Description

We are looking for FULL-TIME Permanent RN's for our Chronic outpatient dialysis facility in Brevard   the pay range will be between 35-45 per hour DOE. Full benefits included. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Supervise and direct LPN and dialysis technicians within team.
• Administers IV, IM, subcutaneous, oral, and rectal medications as ordered by the physician.
• Able to use all emergency resuscitation procedures and medications as deemed necessary in accordance with the standing physician orders until the help of a physician may be obtained.
• Able to initiate, monitor and complete total hemodialysis procedure.
• Assists with all phases of patient teaching and general nursing care of patients.
• Develops nursing care plan after assessing patient needs and provides chart note each treatment.
• Accurately observes, records and reports patient reactions, signs and symptoms to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains patient medical records involving pertinent nursing observations and actions taken.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized patient care; conducts and participates in patient care conferences and maintains updated nursing care plans.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize pathophysiology and abnormal patient responses and follows through with appropriate measures.
• Accepts responsibility for narcotic control.
• Maintains open communications and working relationships with medical staff, unit personnel, patients and their families as well as the public.
• Assumes responsibility for cleanliness, orderliness, and organization of assigned area.
• Responsible for maintaining and supporting policies and procedures.
• Maintains safe and pleasant work environment.
• Maintains a working knowledge of patient urea kinetics and the unit patient computer.
• Participation in CQI process.
• Learns and follows HIPAA policy and procedures.
• Understands safety issues related to water system alarms and is able to make appropriate safe patient care decisions.
• Works at other facilities as assigned for staffing.





EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Ability to function independently either in a staff or leadership role.
• One year medical-surgical experience, preferred.
• Two years of experience in the direct care of adult patients requiring acute and chronic dialysis, preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Current Florida RN license, required.
• Completion of BLS and/or ACLS and/or PALS, preferred.
