We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Carteret, NJ area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis.

Position Overview

As a Field Nurse Case Manager, you will coordinate care for injured workers throughout the workers’ compensation process. This role involves collaborating with medical providers, employers, adjusters, and legal representatives to help ensure appropriate treatment, recovery progression, and safe return-to-work planning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee treatment plans for injured workers
  • Attend medical appointments and assess treatment progression
  • Communicate with physicians, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
  • Prepare detailed and timely case management reports
  • Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of care
  • Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
  • Coordinate IMEs, peer reviews, and job site evaluations as needed
  • Advocate for quality care and positive case outcomes

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey RN license required
  • Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
  • Comfortable with technology and electronic documentation systems
  • Reliable transportation for travel throughout Carteret and surrounding New Jersey areas
  • Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain
  • CCM, CRRN, or related certifications preferred
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
