• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $48.00 $52.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 7:30); every other weekend coverage (may vary based on need)

Job Summary

This is a Cardiac Telemetry travel nursing assignment requiring an experienced RN to care for adult patients presenting with a broad range of cardiac, medical, and surgical diagnoses. Float to other like units or facilities is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for adult patients with chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA/TIA/stroke work-up, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleeding
• Care for surgical patients representing a variety of specialties: general surgery, otolaryngology, gynecology, orthopedics, cardiology, and urology
• Perform cardiac/telemetry monitoring
• Perform pulse oximetry
• Perform TEE
• Perform negative pressure isolation (AFB)
• Perform thoracentesis/paracentesis
• Perform dialysis
• Administer Level 3 continuous intravenous infusions per facility policy
• Administer Level 3 IV push medications for inpatient care per facility policy
• Utilize Pyxis & Omnicell medication systems
• Document using EPIC
• Float to other like units or facilities as required

Required Skills

• Proficiency with Pyxis & Omnicell medication systems
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation system (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required to apply)
• Cardiac/telemetry monitoring skills
• Level 3 IV administration and IV push medication administration
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry specialty

Education Requirements

• RN license South Carolina (SC) required
• ACLS (ALS) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required to apply
• First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Float to other like units or facilities is required
• Every other weekend coverage required (may vary based on need)
• Night shift position: 3x12 hours (19:00 7:30)
