Are you passionate about Cardiology? Is your goal to become a Cath Lab nurse?
The aim of this program is to support nurse transition into the role of a Cath lab nurse. Integrated with AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) program, the fellowship will include a combination of online coursework, instructor-led classes, skills labs, and clinical tracks with a focus on procedural cardiac care. This program will help prepare the nurse to function independently in the Cath lab/critical care environment and eventually become nationally certified.
At the conclusion of the year-long fellowship, participants will be awarded 75 continuing education credits and will have received six months of clinical experience with rotations throughout relevant roles.
The Cath Lab Nurse Fellowship Program is available throughout Atlantic Health System, and the job description of positions may vary slightly from site to site. Non-BSN graduates will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of employment. All participants are requested to agree to a two-year employment commitment at Atlantic Health System.
