The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate and skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team. Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager (or Executive DON, Ambulatory), you will deliver professional, age-specific nursing care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you arent just following a checklistyou are a patient advocate, a clinical educator, and a vital collaborator working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams to elevate patient outcomes. What Youll Do Deliver Exceptional Care: Perform all aspects of patient care, from comprehensive initial assessments to precise medication administration. Drive Care Planning: Identify nursing priorities, develop tailored care plans, and deliver (or delegate) care that strictly aligns with Valleywise Healths high-quality standards. Be a Patient Champion: Act as a dedicated advocate and educator for our patients, helping them navigate their healthcare journey with clarity and confidence. Lead Support: Indirectly supervise ancillary team members and actively participate in team-building initiatives to foster a positive workspace. Continuous Improvement: Manage and complete all required clinical documentation efficiently while actively contributing to quality improvement projects. Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37 The night shift pay differential will be paid at18%of the employees base rate of pay.The weekendshift pay differential will be paid at8%of the employees base rate of pay. Qualifications Education: Prefer a bachelors degree or higher in Nursing. Experience: Must successfully complete the Valleywise Health New Graduate RN training program or have prior acute nursing experience demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred. Certification/Licensure: Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or avalid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice. Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing. Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire. In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice: Burn Med Surg Adult:Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must. Bilingual is preferred. Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills. Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
