    As an Ambulatory Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in coordinating care, educating patients, supporting providers, and ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in through follow-up. This position is ideal for nurses who enjoy building long-term patient relationships while working in a collaborative and innovative healthcare environment.

    Department: Rheumatology & Arthritis Associates

    Employment Type: Full Time, M-F 8:00a-5:00p

    The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.

    What You'll Do

    • Administer IV infusions, injections, biologic therapies, and specialty medications according to provider orders and clinical protocols.
    • Deliver professional nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting.
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
    • Triage patient phone calls, portal messages, and same-day concerns using clinical judgment.
    • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
    • Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments according to provider orders.
    • Assist with in-office procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
    • Review laboratory and diagnostic results, communicating findings and provider recommendations to patients.
    • Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, specialty appointments, and follow-up care.
    • Monitor chronic disease management and support patients in achieving their healthcare goals.
    • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience.

    What We're Looking For

    • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has beeninactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

    • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.

    • Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required.

    • ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
