    Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:00am-5:30pm Tuesday- off

    Novant Health Lakeside - Brookdale Office is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, compassionate RN who enjoys providing patient-centered care in an outpatient setting and working collaboratively with providers and clinical team members.

    The Ambulatory RN plays an important role in supporting daily clinic operations, coordinating patient care, and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality service. This position provides a variety of clinical responsibilities while also supporting quality initiatives and overall clinic workflow. During slower clinic months and periods of downtime, assist with completing Medicare Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs) by phone.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage nurse triage, assessing patient needs and determining appropriate next steps for care.
    • Monitor and respond to in-basket communications, ensuring patient questions and clinical needs are addressed in a timely manner.
    • Process and coordinate medication prior authorizations.
    • Perform nurse visits and provide appropriate clinical care and patient education.
    • Assist with rooming patients as needed to support efficient clinic flow and ensure a positive patient experience.
    • Partner with the Clinical Lead to complete weekly and monthly quality control checks.
    • Serve as a backup vaccine coordinator, supporting vaccine management and compliance.
    • Assist with annual laboratory audits and other quality and regulatory initiatives.
    • Collaborate with providers and the healthcare team to promote safe, effective, and coordinated patient care.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed to support the clinic and patient population.

    What We're Looking For

    Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

    Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN license in appropriate state Required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
