Department Summary:
In the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, our health care team provides medical, gynecological, nutritional, and psychological care and counseling. Our team is made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, mental health providers, and care coordinators — all of whom specialize in the care of teenagers and young adults. The practice also includes subspecialty referral programs and second opinion consultation: the Eating Disorders Program, the Reproductive Endocrinology and PCOS Program, the Boston HAPPENS HIV program, the STEP weight management program, the Long-acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) Program, the Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Program, the Chronic Fatigue and Complex Care Program, and the Clinic for Interactive Media and Internet Disorders (CIMAID).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing nursing care in a busy adolescent practice (patient population between the ages of 12 years to 26 years old) with wide variety of adolescent primary and urgent health care needs including behavioral health needs, family planning, eating disorders, asthma and sexuality issues.
  • Communicating with patients, families and health care providers.
  • Working 32 hours per week: 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday
Minimum qualifications:
Education:
  • BSN degree.
Experience:
  • 1 year pediatric/adolescent nursing experience required, 3 years preferred.
  • Phone triage experience strongly preferred.
License/certification:
  • MA RN License.
