We are currently seeking an experienced Local Travel Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Fortuna, California.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Acute Care / Med Surg RN looking to expand their clinical experience while enjoying the natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle of Northern California.

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,200 per week, based on experience
Job Description
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to acute care patients.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Follow infection-control procedures, patient-safety standards, and hospital policies.
  • Respond appropriately to changes in patient status and participate in emergency interventions when necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality Medical-Surgical and Acute Care nursing services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, teamwork, and strong clinical judgment throughout the assignment.
Required Education & Certifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active California RN license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • PALS certification required.
  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
  • Acute Care experience strongly preferred.
  • Current clinical credentials must remain valid throughout the assignment.
