Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Location: Arizona
Schedule: 12-Hour Day Shifts | 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
Hours: 30–40 hours per week | Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. This is a full-time day-shift opportunity working 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM.

This opportunity is open to recent RN graduates and nurses with less than one year of skilled nursing experience. Candidates with previous skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must be available to work full-time. Scheduling may include approximately 36 hours one week and 40 hours the following week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physicians and within the RN scope of practice.

  • Assess and monitor residents for changes in medical, physical, functional, and psychological condition.

  • Participate in shift reports and communicate important resident information to the incoming and outgoing care teams.

  • Complete initial nursing assessments for newly admitted residents.

  • Assist with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, quarterly reviews, and individualized care plans.

  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation related to assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and resident progress.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Develop and carry out resident care plans using a team nursing approach.

  • Provide limited supervision and direction to supporting nursing staff.

  • Assist with direct resident care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.

  • Participate in staff development and in-service training programs.

  • Follow applicable federal, state, and facility regulations related to nursing practice, medications, and medical supplies.

  • Support continuous quality and process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona – Required

  • Recent RN graduates are welcome to apply

  • Candidates with less than one year of skilled nursing experience will be considered.

  • Skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), rehabilitation, or geriatric experience is preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and the effects of the aging process.

  • Understanding of medication administration, pharmacology, nursing assessments, and treatment planning.

  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

  • Must be available to work full-time, 30–40 hours per week.
